Type 1 Pineapple knots tend to be the easiest to tighten up neatly when using smaller cord, at least for me. Because with a multiple pass casa knot the strands always want to switch sides and get all rearranged when tightening.
When calculating the parts & bights needed I would start with the knot I usually use with 550 cord, and then multiply the parts & bights by the comparative width of the flattened 275. For example if I was using cord that was one third the width of 550 cord I would multiply the parts & bights by three to get the knot I am going to use.

You could do a norton knot:
It is a gaucho knot with nested bights like a pineapple knot. Which makes it just as good as a pineapple knot for closing up around the edges of a foundation.

Jyri, when I first looked at your picture, I thought the scene being reflected was actually a print under glass. That brass sure took a fine polish.
I'll give it a try, Dad, but it's going to be really hard...kind of like trying to saw something in half using a banana.

Here is what i managed to do last night.
I played with different knots and cord but nothing seemed to work well. I'm going to put some knots with thinner cord when i wake up.
Hopefully i get it waxed friday.
Some brass would have helped but..

Jyri, I think the slight discoloration somehow makes the whip look more 'authentic'! :)

Jyri, the whip is a beauty and I really love the way it rolls out. A work of art.

Excellently done Jyri.
It flows smoothly and good style in throwing.

Very Cool!!! I like the look wax gives a whip, it gies it a slightly aged look.
