This is the Gallery of "Sui Generis Whips" - Jessie Edwards

This new Gallery replaces the former "Masters Gallery", which will work from now on as pure archive. Here you will find not only the work and art from folks who sell whips, but also from folks, who create their whips out of pure passion. And we have an additional gallery. It is called "The Gallery - Making of".

I used to make a lot of jewelry with wasp nests. I always liked how it looked under glass. I tried to put it on a whip handle, but it is very delicate and tends to "melt" if you use the wrong stuff on it. It's bee spit, so...its not like I can tell them to use better spit.

I might have to can the idea of making a handle until I have more nest. I know I saw one last fall. If the birds haven't ripped it up, maybe I can get it when it freezes and I won't die from selfish bees who won't let me have their house.

Looks great, Jessie. I can't wait to get my hands on it!
I'll give it a try, Dad, but it's going to be really hard...kind of like trying to saw something in half using a banana.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I did a wolf whistle when I saw that.

Jessie, it might be the first one you actually could have heard.
Inner wolf whistles are done by "gentlemen" all the time, you just never hear it aloud.

That could almost be a signature line, Ron.

That whip looks astounding. I like the wasp nest idea.

Out of curiosity, do you remove the inner strands from the paracord you use for the knots? Or do you leave it in?

I do both. It depends on the whip. This has loaded strands.

Yes, I thought so. That looks nice, I like how to knot becomes "fuller".

Since you've mentioned that you are collecting the wasp nest yourself, I'm assuming that this wasp nest cabochon is entirely made by you - that's very impressive!
I relay like the details of this whip like the sanded pattern on the steel handle and the overall design of this whip is very elegant and very stylish!

All the best
