I used to make a lot of jewelry with wasp nests. I always liked how it looked under glass. I tried to put it on a whip handle, but it is very delicate and tends to "melt" if you use the wrong stuff on it. It's bee spit, so...its not like I can tell them to use better spit.
I might have to can the idea of making a handle until I have more nest. I know I saw one last fall. If the birds haven't ripped it up, maybe I can get it when it freezes and I won't die from selfish bees who won't let me have their house.

Since you've mentioned that you are collecting the wasp nest yourself, I'm assuming that this wasp nest cabochon is entirely made by you - that's very impressive!
I relay like the details of this whip like the sanded pattern on the steel handle and the overall design of this whip is very elegant and very stylish!
