This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

This new Gallery replaces the former "Masters Gallery", which will work from now on as pure archive. Here you will find not only the work and art from folks who sell whips, but also from folks, who create their whips out of pure passion. And we have an additional gallery. It is called "The Gallery - Making of".

I love that Jatoba, it really sands nice too. Good wood. The Tung oil works really well on it.

Thanks, Tyler, I would say no but it does have some larger pores. It's one of the toughest woods, as well as lower risk of rot or decay. It sands quite smooth for a good finish with oil, and that's by hand up to 400 grit. On a lathe it would be much smoother, I believe.

Thanks Efren! I was particularly fond of that piece of Jatoba, it is nicely figured and good color.
I look forward to your writeup when you do have the time, I really enjoy those and I've learned a lot from your writing about the different kinds of wood. Please do as you find the time!

To be honest... Not my style of colors. But the artwork, the braiding, is wonderful. Would it be possible to see a video how it rolls out? Thank you for sharing!
