This is the Gallery of "Wolf Creek Whips" - Rachel McCollough

This new Gallery replaces the former "Masters Gallery", which will work from now on as pure archive. Here you will find not only the work and art from folks who sell whips, but also from folks, who create their whips out of pure passion. And we have an additional gallery. It is called "The Gallery - Making of".

That blue is stunning, Rachel - and perfectly set off by the black. Well done! :)

@ Rachel McCollough:

Very well done Madam !!!
The turquoise Dynema cracker is a very nice detail on top of all the other features of this whip !!!

All the best

The dyneema cracker matches the color scheme of the whip nicely. I like how the darker handles turn out. To me i feel like the darker handles adds more character to a whip.

Thank you, Ben! I make all my crackers out of that color so far, so I suppose it was accidental!
Philbert, thanks, I'm fond of the color on that handle too!

Roy I appreciate it!

Ron, thank you for pointing out that Avatar-

This one is special (to me) as it is for the pups :)
2016 Whip Basics Dog Shelter Campaign donation whip,
An Amper Style.
Here's the second belly, ready to bind and plait the overlay. It will be a 16 plait with two plaited bellies....
And a 14" handcut Jatoba handle.

@ Rachel McCollough:

Fantastic work Mrs. McCollough !!!
The plaiting is as straight as a ruler and I am also very impressed by your TT on the end of the belly !!!
Whoever winns this whip can consider himself (or herself) very lucky and as Mr. Gage already pointed out the pups will also be lucky because of your work !!!

All the best

Thanks, Ben, I sure do hope so :)

No sir, Ron Eagle Eye, I haven't yet ;)
Plaiting from the tip is new to me yet so there are some minute adjustments to make, longer than 5' and shorter than 7' :D

Here's a view of a show lunge whip for working a pair of oxen.
The thong is a single belly 14 plait with an English Eye, a 16 plait diamond handle. The fall/thong is an 8 plait 24 inch with a twisted taper end. Just a piece of paracord for a cracker with the oxen.
A 5x4 two pass TH knot at transition, a 7x6 two pass TH knot at the heel. A dime in the heel under the handle's square start.
Acid Dark Brown from Whip Nation

Knots tied on TH-1 tool made by David Cross and available through Whip Nation at www.whip-nation.myshopify.com
