Mr. Robert, I think that's the thing to strive for, work or example
Wolfgang, I sure can stare at pictures of y'all's whips for a long time!
Flemming, this one would not be as it is a single belly with a larger core (6 strands instead of 4), though a two belly 16 plait cow whip is virtually the same pattern of weight distribution as the stock whip I build, if you include the twisted taper fall. The cow whip, of course, already has the twisted taper on the tip of the thong.
Mark, thank you very much. You set a fine example of work, yourself...

Ben, Ethan, thank you very much!
Flemming, you are very welcome, always! There is always something new to learn. I am always excited to see how much more of the universe (or details on whips!) We still have not yet even been able to imagine... It is so vast. Always, there is more to learn.

A whip I have been working on for some time... And it is well past time it gets done
More work to go, and I will wait until it is in its new owner's hands before I share the finished picture, I hope within the next 2 weeks...
Until then you will just have to guess, what kind of whip?

Wonder what it will be?

Wolfgang,I agree...and a picture of a well-plaited, coiled whip sometimes has something almost ‚hypnotic‘ in it... one could look at it for minutes!
That it what I do, I pull it up in a tab and zoom in so that it is almost like it is sitting in front of me! :P I've actually learned a bit about plaiting just by doing that, as, when someone describes a dropping method, color or plaiting pattern, etc I've seen it, or at least something like it. That way I can imagine and understand what they are describing without them showing pictures.
