The Donations

Well... We have an annual whip lottery, in which everybodey can participate. And the money for the tickets goes - exactly; to the doggies. And to avoid any possible "misunderstandings" - with an official contribution receipt...!

Rachel, that's what I've been waiting for.
Something that's exactly the same for all public posting.
Post, " We're having a raffle.... then post the link to the thread you are talking about.
Simple, easy.
No, or at least less, confusion that way.

Okay, Ron? Can I have help with this one? I have a shitton of homework and a couple of whips I need to get finished before the first of August. Everyone who donated, take as nice of pictures as you possibly can in good natural light. A collection of beautiful, carefully photographed whips to look at and wish for, will bring in donations for sure :)

Pics of a complete Scrappy will have to wait until I've sorted out this damn floppy handle. New sinew just arrived this morning so I will hopefully be able to get on to it tomorrow.

The official thread page is up for photos and what the donations are.
viewtopic.php?id=5803

Just post photos and a description of the donation there.
It's for photos of the donation, description and nothing else.
I think that keeps it simple.

If you want to post a public announcement use that link so they will know what the
prizes are that they will be able to win.

The thong is almost finished on mine, I also need to get a handle made soon.
A dear friend of mine gave me a great idea on a different sort of fall that would go perfectly with this whip... I've got to try it out!

Ill be in school two more weeks.

I've stripped back Scrappy's handle and added further binding. Just need to replait a foot or so and add a heel knot.

I made the 30" fall yesterday while waiting on an order to do the heel treatment.
So, knots and waxing are all that lacking.

Just finished mines. After a few samples, I had to throw out the idea of waxing because it killed the effect I worked to achieve. The pics will have to wait till tomorrow when I get back to work, as I feel it will be the more appropriate place to photograph it.

Mainly because i don't want end up giving out subpar product, I am going to not do the leash this year. Ill be putting together a bullwhip of some variety. Or maybe a pair (they would go as a pair) of my Karnevil whips. Never see short bulls.

The weather is brighter today, so I might manage to get some better pictures of the leather snakewhip I'm donating. (The photos I posted earlier are not brilliant.)

I might donate this leash:

As I do not have any whips I would feel comfortable donating yet.

That will be great. If you do, please post it in the featured donations thread here: viewtopic.php?id=5803

And thank you Ethan. Your leashes are beautiful and will make an awesome raffle prize. Thank you so much!

Well, the pics for my raffle whip are up in the prizes thread. I have to say, the design for this whip has been in my head for almost 2 years, but I never got around to it. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, despite my engraving skills being a work in progress.
