Nice catch on that customer. Also interesting design on how the thong and twisted taper transition - exowhip style : )

Very classy lookin whip Tyler. That's an interesting design of ending the overlay and continuing the 4 plait and twist of the belly

Tyler, that is definitely one unique whip. I'm digging on the patterns you chose. The exposed core is pretty cool too. Changes the way the whip looks. Its almost like a cow whip with the tt fall.

Fantastic work Tyler !!!

I love your Academy line and I've never seen one with that much fancy plaiting before - it looks very, very beautiful !!!

All the best
Ben

Thanks Jyri!

Thanks Robert! He was very specific about having a brown earth tone color scheme, it's kind of part of his branding.

Thanks Erik and Roy :)

Thanks Jesse, it really is- I wanted a design that I could make faster (the downside to wavelace) but still use some wavelace to get the flow.

Thank you Ben! I don't normally offer fancy plaiting on these, in fact I usually restrict the colors to one color for the parwcord core and one color of wavelace. I do that to keep the cost down, but he offered a bonus for the fancy plaiting :)

This is a stockwhip I recently finished- it's only the second one I've done with a tapered carbon graphite handle, and it will be the last because it's been discontinued. I have a thicker cut off from this one that will be a bullwhip handle, and then that's it. I'll have to remove this option from my website...

Sorry for the double post, the first time I got a screen saying WB couldn't be reached...

Tyler, that's a beauty. The knots and taper, excellent work! It looks like it'll crack itself

Good grief, Tyler - how do you do it? You keep turning out whips that are simply stunning! :)

Tyler another "Exo-mple" of excellence.
I can't be sure what color it is but it's cool.
The fancy plaiting on the handle is super.

Every single time... :P. Love it.

Quick question, Tyler: your distinctive knot on the thong. Do you put the crop and thong together and then tie it afterwards? Or do you manage to get it through the keeper?

Beautiful as per usual, sir. Haven't quite figured out the keeper for stockwhips.

Thanks Rachel and Robert! :)
Thanks Ron- all the plaiting is black and the accent on the knots is coyote tan.

Thanks Matt, I attach the handle and thong and then do the knots on either side ofthe keeper. I think it's...possible... that you could get the thong off with them in place, but more than likely I think those two knots would have to come off. I think the need for a quick change handle is more of a necessity on a pure working whip that will be used hard, on the range. On art pieces/collector whips and those purchased for sport cracking, I find it unlikely that the handle will break or need to be replaced.

Thanks Jesse, I still follow the formuka in the Ron Edwards book, so I allow 4.5 inches for the unfolded length of the keeper.

Hi Y'all,
I've been slow these last months, I've only finished two whips since April but I do have a third that's waiting for customer input. This might look like a Night Train at first glance, but it's an all black Academy:

And here is a Night Sky I just finished:

After the pirate show things should settle back to more of a normal routine....
