Rachel, that is a great looking knob.
It's going to look fantastic.
Really tight plaiting too.

@ Rachel McCollough:

The build pictures of your whips are always a joy to watch Mrs. McCollough - thank you for sharing !!!
I totaly agree with Ron on what he said about the qualities of your person, your work and on the RoT:
I have a strong feeling that the next member of the RoT will be a woman :) !!!

All the best
Ben

Rachel, good to see you too! The knob looks good, looking forward to seeing how your next masterpiece turns out.

Those look great Rachel! I love the knobs- for the colors, I would have to see it in person, I think. The way it shows up on screen wouldn't be my personal choice but on my monitor it looks like tan, navy, and pink. But the plaiting, looks superb :)

Thank y'all, my friends, very much!

Tyler it's funny how colors can show so differently from the light and different monitors! The evening light is far more true for photo accuracy so far.

Yeah, I was surprised when I read what they actually were :P

That Rachel is super. I love the knob.
Still not a fan of the colors but the plaiting is spot on.
Excellent job.
How does it handle?

Mr. Robert my niece said the other photo made it look like watermelon colors!
Thanks, it is fairly quick and a little light in the tip. I will fix that with the one I've got on the hook.
I will definitely wait for evening light on photos for most whips, too! Big difference

I would have thought that was a completely different whip! I like the actual colors much better :)

Rachel, perhaps a weighted fall might help with the light tip ?

I liked both colors. But then, I am a fan of Slaughtermelon, which could have been that whip's name if it was all bright and happy.

I think I want a lathe. Yes. I'm going to get one.

The browns are cool, but the crimson on my monitor looks like fuchsia or a pink.
It's still a beautifully made whip.

Of course I don't much like pink on anything except for cancer awareness purposes.

Tyler I definitely prefer the "real" colors!
Yes Ron I will put both a weighted and non weighted fall on the next one and note the differences. This one, I think, will be alright from doubled paracord a bit shorter for the fall, and a longer but heavier tapered cracker. It needs just a bit more weight, but not too much... The core on the next one is different so it'll move a bit different but it looks like it'll move better already. We shall see.
And my thoughts on pink, about the same!

Jessie you definitely need a lathe. You've got skills and you can do it!
Thanks, btw :)

Jessie with a lathe... I have a vague notion that I should be concerned for the Fabric of Reality.

Tyler I think you said it well! Ron I agree I hope Jessie gets a lathe soon

Here's a few more standard cowwhips. More 8' 6" Acid Dark Brown 14plait single belly thongs with 15" handcut Jatoba handles and finished with Tung Oil, wood blanks from Whip Nation.

You definitely have consistency! I bet if you shuffled the whips, no one would be able to tell which one's which. :D
