The last whip before I am packing my whip stuff to move. This was a difficult build, mostly because I am surrounded in boxes and chaos. I'm looking forward to my whip workshop. I also got a lesson in lathe turning this last weekend, so when we move, I am hoping to be able to experiment with that more and make a few handles. Anyway, a 5.5 foot practical whip variation in black, diamond, silver and tracer black.

Me too! First the wonderful roo whip from Rachel and now this amazing design from Jessie. Gentlemen... I think you have to keep up with the ladies! Iwas veeeery sceptical with the practice whip. Then I became a true believer. It handled like a dream But now all this in such a design - perfect! I'm not too much into colors, but I like a nice design, an interesting "thingie" in the heel and a good overall design. I'm not absolutely sure by now, but I have the feeling that this is not a whip, that is only made for beginners... Jessie - we were talking about another cooperation. I think that this is the way we should go. Excellent work!

Just a practice whip. It's not waxed yet. My customer will have quite a lot of work to do getting it broke in. I recently purchased some new plaiting gloves with rubber grips on the palms and fingers. Plaiting makes my hands pretty strong anyway and the added grip along with my usual binding...well the whip is not a great bending whip at the moment. Actually, it stands straight out from the handle. I keep thinking of Craig and his super stiff whips. [notify]Craig Frank[/notify], you would be proud of me :). I really hope it will break in nice for my customer. I almost feel guilty. I know a stiff whip isn't bad, but I also like to just use a whip right away too without a lot of pooping around. Maybe after waxing it will relax a little bit. Daggone it.

Very nicely done Jessie.
I can always spot one of your creations by the handle and knots.
Great job.

Wow Jessie, that's such a beautiful whip. I really like the colors and the knots are just so clean.
And yes, I also remember craigs photo of a stiff whip. It's become more or less burned in my mind and whenever I bind a whip, that photo always pops in my mind :D

Well, i promised it would be done today and it is. I have a 4 x 4' area to try to take pictures, where the snow is packed down enough to move. I'm so ready for spring it's nuts. I'm sure everyone who has to look at the same photo configuration feels the same.
