And, it's shipped.

Wow Craig, that's monstrous!
You just inspired me there to make my own binding stronger.
Binding is a tedious task, but the payoff in performance is double, if not triple.
Thank you for showing us this whip.

Sven - Yes, binding is seriously annoying and I can't do it alone, I always have to enlist my wife's help. But it definitely pays off in the end.

Ok, holidays are over and I've got some free time so I think I'm going to make a whip just for me. I'm thinking 10' Frankenwhip.

WOW a 10 foot Frankenwhip (!!!), the term "heavy weight" would probalby be an understatement for this whip!
I'm looking forward to see pictures of the 10 foot Frankenwhip!
All the best

Haven't made a 10'. Ive done 4, 5, 6, 8, and 16. Let me know what you think of 10.

So far I've only done 6' and 8.5' that usually end up short. The big question is how fare to weight the core. I know that when I normally make an 8.5' I only shot load the core about 2' because of the additional weight of the additional length. Is this what you normally do?

Ben's not wrong. I have first hand experience of how heavy Craig builds his whips and a 10' Frankenwhip sounds terrifying!

I am not thinking you would need to weight anything with that kind of length...Robby has a 10 footer that is really heavy, I'm not sure if it is weighted at all. You would have to ask him.

I have one of Roy's 10-foot cow whips. That's not weighted, and it's as heavy as I could possibly want.

I agree. With a multiple bellied long whip, no additional weight is needed. Wax adds plenty of weight

Well, crap. Looks like something bad happened to the last Frankenwhip.

Tracking shows that it was delivered last month, but the recipient doesn't have it.

That's not good at all, Craig. I just put one in the mail a couple of days ago and still haven't received a tracking number for it. they said that they would email me with it. Now I'm worried. I think I'll start checking on it tomorrow.
