Ron, this is a HUGE advance. Your plaiting is a straight as a ruler and, transition aside, the thong rolls out straight and true. I am 24 whips in and STILL struggling with twisting in the last 10" of thong!
My congratulations.

Roger, there are some waves in the pattern in the handle and some variations going down the thong, but all in all it was a very positive learning experience ending in a very user friendly functioning whip.

Well done Ron- the first thing that pops out at me on the pic is how good you did on the seams. The video looks good too- the transition could be stiffer, but we'll all look forward to seeing a post wax video

Thank you Tyler, especially coming from such an accomplished whip maker.
"Maybe I should do more on the transition.....?" my answer to myself should have been "Hell yeah!".

Nice cracking and even nicer handiwork. Excellence is a word that comes to mind.

Ron,
It's taken me awhile to catch up, but I wish to thank you for the tour through this build. I've learned a great deal from the discussion shall apply the knowledge to my upcoming 2nd build, too.

I like how your whip rolls out slow. Looks awesome . Well done sir.

Thank you Brandon.
It's driving me crazy not cracking it while waiting on getting a turkey roaster to wax it.
But I sure want to see what the difference / advantage of waxing it is.
It is a slow heavy whip and it suits my preferred style to a 'C' .
