Jessie, I'm fine with name and state. Could I recommend company names for those of us who make them as a company?

NOTICE: Please, anyone who is giving a vintage whip or a whip from their collection, remember that this is open to the public this year and we want these prizes to look amazing. Any cleaning or treatments that need to be done to the vintage whips, please do before sending them out. I am seeing a lot of, "it could use a cleaning and a fall" or "you could make it this or that." Make the prizes tantalizing! Your winner may not be a whip maker that knows how to change falls or clean leather. Everyone please do the maintenance and give your pieces new falls and crackers if donating used whips.
Jeff, can I please have at least 2 more nice pictures of your whip for the slideshow and what year was it made?
How about you Robert? Do you know what year your whip that you are donating made?
Erik, Craig, Ethan, Tyler I need 2 more pictures from you. And Roy, I emailed you about my random lost email. I don't have a clue how that happened. Was a I dreaming about getting an email? I could be just that scatterbrained. Really, I can't be trusted.
Oh, Ben. Can I have a couple 3 pictures of that fire striker?
I hope I can do this. It's turning into a bigger project than I expected. I'm really new at all of this, so bear with me, guys. I'm hoping by next year I can do a better job as progress through my classes and learn more about movie maker and stuff.. This will be basic, ok?

Jess, do I send pictures to the email that shows up on your profile page?

You can just post pictures and your description in the thread. I can just as easily take them off the page and use them that way. Something I discovered today on my magic Mac.

Jessie, I'm afraid don't know the exact year my whip was made, or even bought. I'm sure I had it before 2005, and possibly as early as 1999 or 2000....
I'm not inclined to change the fall (which probably needs changing, not because it's worn out, but because I think it's too wide and too thin) because - ideally - whoever wins this will re-plait the last foot or so of the thong, or even shorten it by that much. I know it might go to someone unable to do this - but I did post that warning right from the beginning.
As far as I recall I paid about $100 for it (on eBay). There were two snakes advertised at the same time. I had a brief correspondence with the maker, and chose this one. I don't think he was very experienced, and that he just enjoyed 'trying his hand' at making whips. I had the impression he was quite elderly....

You were the only one who offered to do that job, Jessie. Everything you do is perfect! Simply because you do it. I can't stand it to receive "advice" from people who have no idea themselves how to do these things. So - don't worry. The slideshows you have on your page are great. No need to hide. And one golden rule... If someone tells you that he would've done this in a different way, tell them to
do it their way. You will see: They will
never come up with something they made at their own. To criticize is easy. To be creative and to master the technical aspects are a complete different story.
I for my part thank you for all your effort. And - please - no more excuses for what you are doing. You are doing great!
