Sparky, you could make a "fire bullock whip" and really burn the calories with a workout. :)

Ron! That was actually my next idea haha I would have to really think it through though, to make it as durable as possible, but somehow still stiff.

Dann you Sparky...now I need to make one. I wasn't sure I was going to, but this settles it. What did you use for the handle, if I might ask.

hehehe you're welcome for helping you make the decision!
I used a 19mm diameter oak dowel. Originally wanted to use 16mm, but it was WAY too flexy, so I went 1 size up. Hope that helps!

That is quite possibly the coolest thing I have seen all day. ;)
I'll give it a try, Dad, but it's going to be really hard...kind of like trying to saw something in half using a banana.

Thank you very much Chris and Roger! ^_^

That plaiting on the handle took me over 8 hours to do, only because the plait count is very high for the diameter, and therefore the fancy plaiting kept bunching up and I ended up having to do some weird vice action to get the staff in position (since my computer desktop is my workbench haha)

I've finished with two new whips! ^_^

I've been meaning to make myself a normal bullwhip for ages, cause my skills have improved so much since the last one I have haha Here's what it looks like!

Image

Now, my gf is starting to get into whips, and while I have red hair, she has blue hair! And so, since mine was a fire themed whip, I decided to make her a water themed whip~

Finally, today we were at my gf's bestie's house, and she had this awesome dog sculpture out the front. I HAD to take a photo!

Also, here's a little bullock whip cracking~

Hope y'all enjoy~

Sparky - I really like the blue, what, and black whip. I really like whips that are non-symmetrical. I created a similar whip when I was copying a pattern of cord that was used by my Wood Badge den for our woggles.
If I can't run fast, I'll make slow look impressive.
