Gorgeous whip, that bird's eye is fantastic

. Need to learn how to plait that, I can't stop thinking about how good it looks.

Rachel, I agree with Matt. This Bird Eye looks terrific indeed. I love working with wood and have to tell you that making such a handle by hand is something incredible.

The lack of effort required to crack is exactly what I'm aiming for in my whips. I want the least amount of force to be used so that the whip flows just like yours, Rachel. Wonderful.
As always, a great review too, Robby.

Rachel, it's simply a classy and handsome whip. I am loving that walnut handle with the acid brown bird's eye. The whip performs just as good as it looks. Thank you mam for creating and sharing this masterpiece

Hi Friends, here is a Steer Whip, 6' 16 plait with two plaited bellies, Multicam 650 cord, English Eye, 6" internal fiberglass Rod and Katalox grip. I really do like the Katalox, though it is very hard and very oily. I used denatured alcohol in the hole to cut out the oil (just in case!) before I epoxied it on. Unfortunately it was raining and this is the best pic.

Very cool. Is the overlay one shade or two?
