This new Gallery replaces the former "Masters Gallery", which will work from now on as pure archive. Here you will find not only the work and art from folks who sell whips, but also from folks, who create their whips out of pure passion. And we have an additional gallery. It is called "The Gallery - Making of".
Two 10' 16 plait cow whips with two plaited bellies, 15" Gonçalo Alves handles,
One in Rust and Midnight Blue, one in Black, Electric Blue, and Charcoal Gray.
Wonderful work, Rachel! I too especially like the rust-coloured whip - not least because the handle looks slightly chunkier (to my eye) than the other one, giving it a very solid appearance. Brilliant!
Rachel - I am with Robert. The Rust colored whip is my favorite especially due to the handle. I like when it is possible to see the structure in the wood very clearly.
I'm going to go the other way - I prefer the one with the black, blue & grey thong. Regardless of personal preferences, they are both fine whips and I'm sure the new owner(s) will be very happy with them.
I'll give it a try, Dad, but it's going to be really hard...kind of like trying to saw something in half using a banana.
Gosh the Rust & Midnight Blue is gorgeous! That’s a great color combination. They’re both beautiful whips but the first one stands out for sure. You do amazing work Rachel.
What you achieve with a nice piece of timber and a file never ceases to amaze Rachel, those are gorgeous handles to go with those whips. And I love your addition of that subtle midnight blue highlight to the rust whip, definitely my favourite of the pair, though they are both excellent like always.
Practice does not actually make perfect; Perfect practice makes perfect.
