Alrighty, it's update time

I regret that so far I have only done a few minutes of overhead cracking due to the weather/wet ground. I'm not positive I live in the wettest place of everyone here, but I'm sure I'm in the top 3! We have our own rainforest in this state, for crying out loud! :P I likely won't get to crack it much until July, which is usually about the time I get to crack leather. I apologize Jeff, for not doing this sooner, I've been completely swamped. I wouldn't want you to think I don't value this whip, because I love it! Here it is on my Wall of Awesome, along with my other 2 leather whips, my confederate d guard bowie, and of course, my copy of Frankenstein illustrated by Bernie Wrightson

Only my favorite things go on the Wall:
and here it is by itself:
The hooks were hand forged by a blacksmith at a place in Waco, Texas where they practice all kinds of traditional crafts and trades called Homestead Heritage. My wife suggested I get the hooks to hang my two whips on, and at the time I said, "but there's three hooks- so I get another leather whip, right?" And now I do!
The fall hitch feels as hard as a rock:) Also, I learned from Robby the importance of the plaiting within a few inches of the hitch, this ois solid too.
The keeper looks great, I love the way leather keepers wrinkle, they have tons of character.
The handle has a long, elegant and perfect taper. I love tapered handles, this one feels very good in the hand.
The heel knot, as previously discussed, looks and feels great:)
Lastly, I love the colors. I can't wait to break this whip in this summer. Due to the stock whip feel, it works really well in the reverse overhead, it felt great. We all put our time and materials for the swap, but as the only one of us that did Roohide, you get the Most Generous Whip maker award Jeff:)
