Here is my first 12 footer, and also my first whip with the new wave lace in coyote brown:
It's fun being able to do more with color

Thats badass Tyler! Also answers a question for me. Ive done some messing around with patterns in the thong but wasnt sure if it would mess with action. Gonna say no since yours is such a magnificent example. Thanks!

Thanks Taylor! Patterns can mess with the action in the thong, depending on what pattern and how it's done- the trick is to get used to pairing the right pattern for the plait count you're working in, if that makes sense.

Tyler, that is one beautiful whip right there, it well deserves to be listed in Masterpiece. I really like the colors and patterns, how do you like working with your new Wave lace?

Thanks Rachel! I love it, it seems to have slightly softer hand in black, and I haven't used my white yet. The coyote brown is great

Tyler, what can I say? Magnificent! (Or, to quote Taylor's term - perhaps rather more appropriate - 'badass'.) I love the pattern in the thong: it reminds me of something I can't quite place - some iconic whip I saw many years ago, perhaps in a film.... Very fine work indeed! And I imagine the new 'wave lace' means it performs even better than it looks!

It is just beautiful. I'm really fond of coyote, too... I'm sure glad the new lace is working well! It really is beautiful!

Thanks Robert! Have you ever looked through Ron Edwards' How to Make Whips ? He has some pictures of stockwhips with pattern work on the thongs from old Australian saddler's catalogs, I always think of that when I think of pattern work on the thong of a whip.
Thanks again Rachel!
Thanks Roy!

Thanks, Tyler - yes, I have seen Ron Edward's book. That's probably where I saw the picture I remember....
And - I've just seen your video of this whip on YouTube. Great!

Yup, I'm starting to experiment with patterns past the transition area. Tyler, you've really made that work well.

Awesome work as ever Tyler.
Now in more colours too.
I don't have to tell you I'm a big fan of your work, and just when I thought I had enough whips he adds more colours to the collection, ......

Nice
The new cord is a bit wider than what you used to have, how much does that affect the plait count and thickness ratios? I really liked the old stuff because of the size so this is pretty much my biggest worry here.
