What decision did you come to?

Pretty loose ones. I couldnt make the plaited keeper to work so i made it from nylon strap, just like i did with the raffle whip. Once i founded the right lenght i took it off and epoxied it to place with some tight binding.

Well, if it works. Why not?
Looking good already.

It seems to flow well in the video.

Here is the balance right now. I couldn't make it guite where i wanted but as the handle will fill with wax it can change it, better or worce.

Flemming already asked how this build ended up so here is some of my toughts.

It became medium weight stock with the balance point a bit further in the heel end, but not as much i was aiming for. It rolls out nicely and with overhand crack it you just need to change direction to make it crack. With more weight in the handle it doesn't give that recoil feel to your hand.
It craks a bit aggressively but that can be fixed with longer tapered cracker.

I have watched the video several times. It flows really really great. You are lucky to have so much space. I can not crack an 8 ft. bullwhip in garde due to Gittes Flowers and our apple trees.

I love the way you build
