Your plaiting looks really straight and your binding is very precise, well done I think

Mark, using it on the open binding just meant angling the tool just a little. It went so smooth.

Georg, I picked it up on EBay for about $12. Best investment I've ever made. The only issue is that you have to load the spool yourself. What I did, was put a piece of steel rod in my vise, then put the original sinew spool on that. I found a bolt that fit through the server's spool, and a nut that matched the bolt. I put the bolt through and tightened it so that the spool could no longer spin on the bolt. I chucked the bolt into my drill, tied the end of the sinew on, and ran the drill slowly. It filled the server tightly, without having to manually load it.

Robert, thank you. The thing is done, but the handle hasn't been started. I'm hoping to at least work on it tonight.

Jesse, the bird's eye is perfect. Good work. I know how you feel, when I finally figured it out I was ecstatic. I like the purple and black.

Thanks guys. I'm super happy with it. I do have to wait until May 12th to find out what its new owner is gonna think. His performing partner consulted with me to plan it. She loves the design of it.

Thanks Jyri.

Georg, I don't know if I'm missing something, but the only "problem" I see is a small twist on the right hand side.

And Robert, I apologize. I somehow missed your comment. Thank you very much. I'm not sure what the next thing I'm gonna try learning is. I just haven't decided.

The twist is the problem. :)

Don't get discouraged Georg, several of us (especially me) struggle with twists in the plaiting.

Thanks Scott. First time with the Birds eye plait. Not sure how often I'm going to be using it. It really hurt my fingers holding the strands in place.
