Ah, come on Roy… You're killing me with these pictures!

The colors, the shape of that handle, the patterns (sorry, I don't know the proper word, I think) on the wood - all that makes it a beautiful, individual, personal and desirable piece of art.

Keanu - you're a lucky man.

Roy - fantastic. Just fantastic!

I love the patterning on the handle! Did you burn it in?

and how exactly is that a sneak peak? I'm pretty sure you just showed us the whole thing!

Thanks fellas. Yes it's burnt into the wood and Ben your right I guess It's much more than a little peak, darn. I'm always thinking that just because I have a hard time seeing tiny pictures on this small phone, that so does everybody else.

Very nice work Roy, I love the burned patterns on the handle, particularly the fish scale.

Roy, Young Ben nailed it. No 'sneak' involved there. But I must say that is whip work of an artisan. Absolutely beautiful from end to end. The Rust paracord with just a bit of black pairs well and picks up the theme from the handle. All very nice indeed.

Man that bullwhip looks good in black. I'd love to see some comparison photos of it coiled before and after breaking in, it really looks tightly plaited now with a stiff transition.

Thanks everyone, and like I told Roy, that is one awesome looking Cowwhip!

I really love the Koi Scale Pattern on the handle, it goes great with the Kanji.

Okay... "Koi scale pattern" I can think what that is. But what - please - is a "Kanji"...?

Thanks,
Robby

"Kanji" means characters in written Chinese/Japanese.

Yes, Kanji is Japanese/Chinese Writing. Both cultures of which I have in me! The symbols there say kouun which means good luck or good fortune. I thought it matched great with the handle, because the Koi (Carp) represents good luck.

Thank y'all for the great comments. I feel blessed that I now own an amazing whip. Yesterday I spent a great amount of time with the "Tank" and I must say it is a very deceiving tool. Sitting static in my hand it feels like a mighty battle ax, but as soon as I begin to move it, it feels oh so elegant. The long and stiff transition gives it a totally different feel than I'm use to. With this whip I'm starting to understand Robby's explanations of slowing down and using less power. With proper timing and a more graceful hand, this thing makes a sharp and easy crack. Also, it is extremely accurate. I'm loving it, thanks Keanu
