Hm. Risky business, I'd say. I've seen a whole lot of really bad eye injuries over the years. Hitting an ear, well. Hitting the cracker into your eye is a different story. Whip coaches worldwide will tell you that eye protection is mandatory. To be honest… I'd make sure that the little lady wears simple safety goggles.
When she's old enough to see the consequences and potential danger and she says "No, thank you", then it's her own decision. But until then I'd highly recommend to protect her eyes. Serious.

Ya Roy defendantly have her wear eye protection. When I first got started I hit myself in the eye and couldn't wear my contacts for 3 days. My older brother was trying the coach mans crack and hit himself in the eye also. Took his eye 4 weeks and a couple trips to an eye doctor to get better. It's better safe than sorry when it comes to your eyes.

Oh my gosh!! She is just too cute! I love love love that she is in her princess dress.
I just want to give you a big high five for being an awesome Dad. I'm so close to my Dad and the times that he taught me something are my most cherished memories. When I was 15 he helped me rebuild a 67 mustang. We spent 6 months out in the shop everyday after school... Now 20+ years later I still think I see him smiling in the back seat when I look in the rear-view. I'm sure your daughter will have the same kind of feelings toward you.

Your right Robby, I've never thought of it like that. One wrong move and your eye is gone. I will have to find her some purple princess goggles. If she lost an eye because of my macho stupidity I would hate myself. Bobbi that is awesome. I'm a Mustang fanatic myself, but I recently sold my 67 fastback as it wasn't getting driven much anymore. It was too nice for these crappy Texas roads. I hated seeing her go because I put many hours in her, even built the engine myself. Here is a pic for ya

He died for me, I'll live for him
