Thank you Pokkis for the inspiration you gave me to make a Baby Snake.

I've decided to give it as a gift to the daughter of the lady I made my second whip for.

The baby cracks pretty well for its size but is a little light towards the end and needs a bit of force to get a good sound.

(Sorry about the links but I can't seem to embed the Flickr images even after following the instructions in "Pictures!")

I love pink and black. <3 The handle on the second one is really interesting.

Wow, I'm a bit speechless here. It's not every day I'm mentioned as source of inspiration.

How small is that snake? I would think it needs an effort to crack, the mini whip I made has a handle and it still needs a weird technique to get a crack out of (link to a video on the boredom whip thread). Anyways I like your idea there. Some extra customer care is always a nice thing :)

It was my first commission after showing my first whip on a motorcycle forum I'm a member of. Within two hours of putting up the pics I had a request to make one with a motorcycle grip as a handle. To be honest, it isn't a 'great' whip as it was only my second ever attempt but it does crack well and the handle does kind of work.

I'm looking into other billet aluminium grips as I think there is scope for a series of whips using different styled handles away from the usual wood, cane, carbon etc. Not particularly practical I would imagine but nice decorative pieces.

I can't afford to buy any more cord at the moment and after seeing your 'baby bastard' I decided to use up my leftover bits and pieces. When I found a couple of lengths of pink it was a no brainer to make a baby Snake to accompany the bigger pink Bull.

Heel to fall, it's 2' 2" with a 12" fall and cracker. It does the circus crack ok with a bit of force but for some reason it does the overhead with hardly any effort at all :/ and I can do the Horseman's crack with it which I have yet to master with any of my bulls. Go figure!

The baby snake looks real good Roger. The reason the overhead crack is easier is because of the loop you make in the whip. For me I can get a better loop in the whip on the overhead as opposed to a cattlemans crack. The better the loop that flows down the whip, the better the crack.
