Ben I gave it a little test crack today, I find I have to flick my wrist a little bit more to get the crack but that's more about getting used to a lighter whip I think, flows and rolls out beautifully thoBen Varsek wrote:Ross, very good job, that whip looks very elegant.
How do you like the performance compared to your heavier Indy-whips?

Here is the whip I've made for my daughter Aaliyah's 18th, she's a big Harry Potter fan so I've made it in the colours of his school house Gryffindor.
It's 7ft 16 plait with a 10" Steel handle and a twisted tapered core, two plaited bellies and waxed.

Wow.. a Gryffindor whip
I has tried to persuade my daughter to learn two crack a whip, but she refuses.
She reads classical archaeology and I've told her that the biggest hurdle to experiencing the same things as Indiana Jones is that she can't handle a whip.
Maybe a Gryffindor whip can make a difference to an big Harry Potter fan

I quite agree every archaeologist should be able to handle a Whip!Flemming Bo Christiansen wrote:Wow.. a Gryffindor whip

At least if Aaliyah doesn't take to the whip she will always keep it with her Harry Potter collection
