New Lion Tamer's Whip

Hi Guys,
this is the lion tamer's just completed.
The handle is 90cm long
The thong is plaited in 8 plait about 11cm long.
The keeper of plaited thong is slit braid pattern.

this time i choose the slit braid pattern because i think it helps the "old look".
When I build these whips my basic philosophy is to combine my know how of the old whipmaking with the modern whipmaking.
In any case I think the absolute protagonist of these whips is always the twisted handle.
One of the many things I love about this forum is that there is a section dedicated only to the whips. I think this is very strategic for the development of whipmaking.

do not know much about the lion tamers whips but that looks great, intrssing the heal knot on teh whip and is that one of the one peice of leatehr braided onto it self (can not rember how it is called).. but I like it look good.. how does it crack with the longer handle like that ..

the name of the heel knot is "gaucho knot" or "pineapple knot interweave"
the length of the handle will change the way of crack..
