I saw a post from Mr. Glen Denholm on facebook with photos of his weekly output. He made 14 different whips this week. They are all beautiful, of course. Here's what I got done this week.

6.5 ft (2m) Snake Whip, 16 plait in black and gold, 2 bellies, TT core, weighted fall and one of Jyri's crackers, 9x8,2pass pineapple knot for the heel, waxed. the key chain contains a foosball inside of a Globe knot, a 6 strand Matthew Walker, a 6 strand round crown sinnet. Just below the ring is a 6 strand over 2 round sinnet finished of with a 6 strand diamond knot.

Oops, the narrow section of the key chain is not a round crown sinnet, it is a regular old 6 plait, o2u1 on one side and o1u2 on the other.

Nicely done Mark.
How does it crack?

Thank you, Ron and Jyri. Ron, I'll let you know about the crack as soon as it gets light enough to see it.

Thank you, Roger. I hadn't tied any knots in quite a while (all my whips have been wooden handled of late) and last week at work I suddenly got the urge to do so. I liked the colors so much I decided to make a whip out of them. I had forgotten how much fun tying knots could be.

Ron, it cracks nicely. I'm getting better at using a snake whip.

That's a very nice snake, Mark! (And a very good length for a snake, too - in my view.)
