A whip with a little more color than my usual

Post by Mark Elliott »

7-foot red and black bullwhip. It has a TT core and a single belly, 8 inch steel rod in the handle, and a 24-inch weighted fall. The Heel knot is a 7x6 three-pass TH and the transition is a single pass 7x6 TH. The heel knot foundation is lead and leather, and artificial sinew. The handle is a single diamond plait with a larger diamond plait accent. The first part of the thong is done in gaucho plait.

Mark, this is superb! I always like red and black, but this is quite special. :)

It's looking great Mark.
The fancy plaiting is very eye catching.

How does it crack? ( stupid question for sure)

Mark great colour choices :) I love the idea of a single pass 7x6 on the transition knot. The heel looks a little bit bunched up but I'm sure a little roll will sort it out :)

Thanks, everyone. Ron, it does pretty good but it is a really light whip and I think the weighted fall is causing a bit of a rebound after the crack so when I get home tomorrow I'm going to put an unweighted fall on it see if I like it better.
