Well... We have an annual whip lottery, in which everybodey can participate. And the money for the tickets goes - exactly; to the doggies. And to avoid any possible "misunderstandings" - with an official contribution receipt...!

Just an update on Jyri's raffle prize. I've had to repackage it all because I'd made the box slightly too big for the 'Small parcel' price :/

I'll have it in the post by the weekend.

Just for information: the stockwhip I donated to the Dog Shelter raffle was won by Joachim and Inga Kraus, friends of Nadine. I've had a nice note from Inga saying the whip has arrived, and they're delighted with it!

Nadine and Robby, thank you so much! I will show this to Lonnie when I get home from work! Y’all make the whip look good!
It is a larger six strand twisted taper core with a single plaited belly. Minimal binding, too.
Thank you!

The whip from Mark has arrived! It looks great! I hope for more decent weather tomorrow, so I can test it properly out of doors, and take some photos here in its new home. I've just done a few underhand cracks in the house (the only crack I can do indoors with such a long whip) and my first impression is - Very Good! :)

A short moment of sunshine, so here are some photos of Mark's cow whip 'Buckaroo':

The blue strands are more blue than these photos suggest - at least in the sun.

The handle fits beautifully in my palm:

If it stays dry, I'll test it this afternoon. At the moment, the ground is still exceedingl wet.
