Scrappy.
An ultralight 6 foot bull with a bound TT core and 1 bound belly. Unweighted. Made from leftover cord. Ill put it up for auction today.

Very nicely done.
I imaging this one is light and fast. The length should help make up for any lack of weight.

I'm curious how you fastened the fall to the thong though.

Thanks. It is really fast and weightless, but I see the point behind these kinds of whips. They are loud. I feel confident that it is a nice whip, especially since I take the extra time to make and bind the core and belly the way I do. It gives it extra spring and life I think, as well as a level of quality that isn't found with some whipmakers making hybrids. If you are used to a very heavy whip, they take you aback a little, but after you use one for a while, it's nice. Made for volleys, fast figure 8, all the fast cracking routines, but not so good for victorian cutbacks and cracks that take time to roll.

Nail knot. Rachel shows how to do it on her Youtube. Strong and permanent. I like it.

Jessie, this looks fun! As you know, I prefer long, heavy, slow whips, but I imagine this would be a blast just to mess around with!

Heh, you guys are funny. Yes, SG is Sui Generis. Juggling whips are a thing too. I’m going to assume a good heft in the handle would be an element in those. I’m digging the whip flow art that is coming out now.

I might make one of these for the dogs. I’ve already firmly decided that Germany is out of the question this year, so I won’t be able to take it with to let everyone play this time.

This is a 6.5 foot bullwhip with a bound TT core and 2 bellies. The overlay is 550 in gray and 275 in purple camo. The knots are 275 black and purple camo. With this whip, I achieved a medium weight. Not as light as a hybrid, but not as heavy as my regular weighted bulls.

Another lovely whip Jessie. When you started dropping strands with the different sized cord did you have to do anything special to keep the seams and plaiting straight? It looks as if it didn't cause any problems so I was just curious.

I always have trouble dropping strands. I did it the same as always, but due to a blister on my left hand, I wasn't able to pull as hard on that side, which seemed to help when I would drop on the right. It still likes to step off to the side when I drop and I can't seem to do much about it. If I double drop strands, I get "hips" in my taper. IDK. I hate dropping strands. The only thing that made the plaiting hard was the fact that I did not gut the 275 cord. It was really stiff and didn't roll in as well as I would have hoped, though it looks so good and it does nothing to the flow of the whip. It cracks good.
