Thank you, Mr. Hayes. Rust is one of my favorites, along with acid dark brown. Any that look like leather, I sure do like.

A little project, quirts. They were a request for horseback trail riding from a friend. Small enough to fit in my work bag and made for easy quick replacement of the leather tail as needed. Not for heavy hitting, these are used the same way the tail of split reins are when riding, but even gentler. The leather piece is thinner than split reins.

Rachel, I'm not sure what the difference of an "ox whip" as apposed to a "cow whip".
Can you explain that for me, please?
