The "Making of" Gallery - Rachel McCollough

This new Gallery replaces the former "Masters Gallery", which will work from now on as pure archive. Here you will find not only the work and art from folks who sell whips, but also from folks, who create their whips out of pure passion. And we have an additional gallery. It is called "The Gallery - Making of".

The cow-whip is at great whip. I love mine - even though I still have a lot of cracing in to do
Today is a good day

Good one Rachel. Amazing how instantly the rust can look like weathered leather.

Thank you, Mr. Hayes. Rust is one of my favorites, along with acid dark brown. Any that look like leather, I sure do like.

A little project, quirts. They were a request for horseback trail riding from a friend. Small enough to fit in my work bag and made for easy quick replacement of the leather tail as needed. Not for heavy hitting, these are used the same way the tail of split reins are when riding, but even gentler. The leather piece is thinner than split reins.

Rachel, I'm not sure what the difference of an "ox whip" as apposed to a "cow whip".
Can you explain that for me, please?

The plaiting looks very straight. Nice.
