Fire Bullwhip V2!
Hey everyone! I'm very happy to say, I have finally got a fire whip design that I'm happy with. The last whip failed as the material wasn't a great material, but this one is much better for absorption of fuel!
Here are a few images of the whip -
It's a nice 16 plait bullwhip, 2 belly and 1 overlay, and 5ft long thong. It's so much nicer than any of the fire whips I've ever tried, so very happy with it!
Finally, here's an image one of my friends snapped of me using it - this was near the end of the burn, but I was testing out a flashing additive, so it looks so awesome!
Hope y'all enjoy~
If anyone is keen on one, definitely give me a message :3

Thank you Ron, Robert and Mark!
Ron, yes, you can - these are made from a wick, which in turn is made from a kevlar/fibreglass blend. You soak the wick in fuel, and this fuel is what burns off, leaving the wick and some soot behind! Therefore, usually you can burn fire props anywhere between 100 - 300 times

Brandon - I think it is cool to build and crack with firewhips. It must be an impressing experience to look at.
Do you do performances i Melbourne ? My brother in Law lives in Melbourne and my Wife are going to Melbourne every second year. It could be fun if they went to a show or something to see you. My Brother in Law have three children and the saw me crack a whip once. The think it is a funny sport, but I know that the children will be impressed to see someone good at it in real life.

Thanks everyone!
Scott - of course, what's the point of a kevlar whip of not to set it on fire?
Flemming - I have done and am happy to do performances, but I haven't really done much at all lately. I've mostly been focused on making the tools and props that performers use themselves! Nevertheless, if your brother in law/wife/you are nearby, I'd love to meet up to do some whip cracking together! ^_^

Ethan - a fire bullwhip is made from wick, often a blend of kevlar and fibreglass. This is to give the whip abrasion and heat resistance, as well as absorbing the fuel itself. There are many ways to make a fire bullwhip, just like a nylon bullwhip :P
Flemming, awesome, chuck me a message when someone you know is in Melbourne! ^_^

So, I'll be donating a fire whip to the fire festival, and also bringing one for myself! I've FINALLY made them, and here they are!
5ft thong, 1ft handle, all english eyes to allow for easy replacement of parts~ This is the one that'll be donated to the festival!
6ft thong, 1ft handle. This will be my personal one, and I'm really excited to be burning it later!
A few more images, and I hope everyone likes them! ^_^
