Ok I'll keep that in mind, thanks. I actually tried to pull it off, with most of my strength, but it did not budge. The epoxy would make it immovable.

Ethan, that looks like a very good whip build in process, I'm looking forward to see the final result!

Looking good - i normally make a hockey tape bolster on the handle to meet the thickness of the transition area - then i dont have to add strands after plaiting the handle part

Here is a link to pictures of the finished bullwhip. Sorry, I do not have access to imgur at the moment.

I did a little experimentation with fancy plaiting on the thong. After seeing some of Rachel's work.
What do you guys think?

Wow, Ethan, looks great. Love the bird's eyes on the thong. I still haven't been able to pull that off.

Looking good Ethan! Did you use ungutted paracord in the heel knot?

Looks sleek without a transition knot. Nice twisted taper fall, too.

That's looking very good Ethan. I like the fact you didn't use a transistion knot. it makes the whip very sleek.

Mark, Thanks, but it is not bird's eye, at least, not what I call bird's eye. Here is a link to the pattern I used: https://photos.app.goo.gl/KKafbauRPDBlueZZ2
Thanks, Rachel!
Jyri, Yes I did use ungutted paracord for the heel knot.
Sir Roger, Thanks, that is actually an english eye.
Matt, thanks, the fancy plaiting was rather fun.

Thanks everyone!

Nice work, Ethan!
I'll give it a try, Dad, but it's going to be really hard...kind of like trying to saw something in half using a banana.

I'm not sure if I posted that this looks really nice Ethan, you did a wonderful job. I posted on your photoroll, but not here. A birdseye your first time out too. Touch you, sassypants.
