Well, Robby once again, got me all screwed up by showing me how to do it right. Like I said on Youtube, I was doing a circus crack up in the air with my wrist pushing the thong instead of using my whole arm straight up, pushing the thong. I also wasn't letting the thong come all the way around beforehand.... SO. After some soup and a warm up, I tried again and promptly looked like an ass. Ya think you know how to do shit and then some know it all comes along and shows you you are doing it all wrong. German Dude. :/

I feel your frustration Jessie, I tried this crack for some time a few weeks ago and ended up feeling like a right numpty.
Onwards to glory!

Jessie, I'm kind of doing the same thing as you were. ( I think)
I'm not that consistent. It looks like sometimes it's wrist and sometimes more arm and then again a little bit of both.
I will work on that in the future.

Ha! WS you had me laughing a long time!!!

I was trying this crack out yesterday- not so good! Mostly doing what Jessie describes, though I was doing it badly. Redo!

I am still running behind but will be on the next crack soon.

But indeed, my cracking has looked *exactly* like Matt's did in his first video. In other words, a circus crack. I wondered if I was doing something wrong when I was having such an easy time with it right off the bat. Maybe this weekend I can make a video of my progress and post it.

Everyone, good work so far. Ron, you may not have a lot of patience as you say, but you would never know it by the help you provide and by how you move in your videos.

You're certainly right, Tristan! Ron's consistent help and encouragement of everyone in the 10/10 challenge are beyond praise!

I should be wrapping up the Coachman's Crack today.

Here is my video of me 8 days in (or rather 80 minutes, since I usually go in 20 minute sessions still.)

Thanks very much, Tristan! This works fine!

As one who find this crack quite difficult, I think you're doing well. :)

Tristan, it looks like to me that you are doing more of a vertical circus or forward crack thing than the coachman's crack.

Perhaps start it like the circus crack and wait for the loop to form coming towards you, then go forward / up with it.

Patience is hard for me.

Thanks for sharing your clip Tristan.

Ron is right, I believe that the thong is meant to make quite a pronounced loop before the vertical extension (although i'm no expert with this crack)

I like what you were doing in the general sense of a crack though. Very exacting.

I need to make a clip *attempting to* do the Coachman's Crack. Should be a good laugh at least.

I'll give it a shot this evening.

Russel, I know you were joking but no one will be laughing at you or anyone else, that's for certain.
They will have to answer to me if they do. :) (it won't be pretty)

Alright I'll keep that in mind, Ron. I've been having a lot of difficulty getting the thong to come up enough in front of me. Thank you.

Thanks for the encouragement, Robert!

Tristan, that's a really good effort. The upwards swing isn't getting enough time to curl. Try starting the crack with the whip laid out behind you rather than in front,...

Thanks Fritz, I forgot to mention that. :)

The whip won't flail and will go in a nice round arc that should encourage a loop as it comes down behind the raised arm....
