Did a little video of my practice results so I could see what it looks like and improve.

Thanks Jessie, that's a goal to have that thong travel horizontal and I have watched the WB short on the horizontal crack and
I will sure try to emulate that for sure. :)

Thanks Roy, it feels more relaxed too.

Good progress, Ron! For someone who's just had surgery, you're a real star! :)

Thanks Robert. The only problem after the surgery is my shoulder seems to not want to move laterally and it shows in the over horizontal crack portion. Even as short as that was I was running out of a little steam.
But this is what I do to heal " everything".... physical and mental. :)

That looks real good. You're not forcing the whip, in fact your technique is very relaxed.

Ron, for goodness sake don't overdo it! It'll take a while for your body to heal fully....

Dude, there's no "long way to go" really. Or maybe there's a "way" but it's nothing with a destination at the end. Go ahead and ask Robby how close he is to the Ultimate Mastery of whips after swinging them around since way before there was a YouTube ;)

Thanks Pokkis, I realize that the journey is a never ending one of striving to do better.
I think that's why I like it so much.

By the way , I am using the hybrid dyneema / wire popper that Jessie sent me.
I really like it a lot.

It's about the journey, not the destination :)

The cracker seems to work fine to me. It makes more difference than most think, that looks effortless and responsive from what I can tell. Gotta try one myself too.

Pokkis , I think you will be glad you did.
When I first saw it I thought, no freakin' way will that work.
But..... I was pleasantly surprised it cracked so well.
It should out last other crackers too, but time will tell.

Mastery? Which mastery? :) First... That's right. Keep it calm and slow. You had a surgery. You need time to recover! Second - don't look after the whip. Feel the whip! Third - according the way, which was mentioned, here. After around 40 years of whip handling, I still work on my technique. Still and constantly. Every time I crack a whip, I practice the four basic cracks from WB Vol. I. Every single time. And the more I practice, the more I see what I have to improve and to learn. You are at the beginning. I am somewhere in the middle. Doesn't that make us equal?

Robby, it may make us equal in our journey and discovery of " the way" but worlds apart in experience which I celebrate with every crack.

I don't even have the awe inspiring experience in cracking a quality whip, only this one. I can only dream of what it would be like to crack a good quality whip. So, I will strive to do my best in making one and improving as much as I can in the next one after that.

Pokkis is totally right in that it's the journey and not the destination. An open ended ticket to ride only limited by the amount of work and self I invest into it.

Thank you all so much for all you have done to help me with this journey. :)

As I told you earlier, you're coming along very well. Robby is right, the whip should feel like an extension of your arm. That will come with practice. Soon the movement of the whip will begin to register with your mind as movement of your body. Looks very good!
