Decisions, Decisions......
What to do... Well I may be a one trick pony thus far but I think I will stick to making a cow whip (any surprise there???!). Now, I have oak and a specialty wood. So, that's the choices for the handle, and a few colors of paracord for the overlay. Hmmmm..... I'm very tempted to just take an actual vote in the overlay colors :). That would be interesting...
Here's a sample:

Blue. Always go with blue. But...you should make the choice.

Exciting!!!

Going to give you the same helpful advice I got from everyone here....

It's your gift, you should decide ;)

Pink and neon green are everyone's all time favorites, you should order some of those :)

Nah, that's really a good selection of colors, any combination of those would work for me.

Uhmm... If I'm not the one who receives Rachel's whip and it actually turns out pink and neon green, please accept my apologies in advance. I never learned to keep my mouth shut :D

Hahaha!!!! I had to try..... :D
I actually would probably have to drink two cups of coffee and take a good dose of headache medicine to order or plait with pink... Nothing wrong with pink, for someone else, but it just would be... Difficult... And against my very nature to plait with pink.
Sooo....
Some form or combination of the colors above, or with olive drab- which I forgot to picture...

So, my apologies to Pokkis or anyone else who may receive my whip and really was looking forward to the pink and neon green.... It coulda been GITD green...
:D

Seriously, one or two of the colors above plus or minus drab olive. I'm thinking two options, or three:

Coyote brown/Drab olive-bois d'ark handle (wood pictured above)

Midnight blue/electric blue-oak handle(cooler color)

Chocolate brown/Coyote brown with either handle.

Or!

Monotone

And you're closer to the Moon than we are right now :P

It's still a long way for just shopping chocolate is what I'm saying, but fortunately there's no need to go across Europe for that. If you ever have a chance to taste Fazer blue chocolate (no, the chocolate itself is not blue, just the wrapper) you totally should. One of the best things this country makes :)

I most definitely will if I get the chance!! I had a penpal from Germany when I was 14, she sent me a box of German and Swiss chocolate. Nestlé who? Hershey what is that? I don't buy candy- that ruined me for life :)

all those combinations sound splendid...

I had the privileged of working for the Oppenheimer family (De Beers diamonds) on their Game reserve Tswalu Kalahari, I was lucky enough to meet the family and take them on a two week safari over Easter. The youngest was the cutest 5 year old you will ever meet with impeccably manners. I remember driving through the desert with him in the seat next to, a giant woven basket full of the finest Swiss chocolates in his lap. The whole time he would eat one and then ask "Donovan could I offer you another one". I am ashamed to say that I accepted his offer every time...

I essentially stole candy from a baby, but I have an absolute weakness for real chocolate...

Oh now, it would have hurt his feelings if you had not accepted, Donovan, and we couldn't stand that...
:D
Now that's a very interesting life you've led thus far, too!!

I steal candy from babies every halloween. "One for you, three for Daddy..." . They finally caught on a couple years ago. Time for grandchilluns...

It has been Rachel, I have been very lucky to have had the opportunities I have had...

Just wish they taught me better spelling and grammar. Every old post I read is riddled with errors

As I've shown, I personally love trying new color combinations.

I think you should make a whip with all of those colors.
