My respect and thanks to all who contributed to this campaign, and my congratulations to those who won some really great whips. I wish I could have participated, but there's always next year.

There will be a "next year", won't there?

I think we should do it again next year with one big change. Have the whips ready to go before we ever advertise to the public or sell a single ticket. Since the WB meet up is changed to September, it would work out perfectly. The whip makers could still be done in July and that gives plenty of time for ticket sales.

Good idea, Bobbi. Have a deadline for donation submissions. If your whip isn't done by that deadline, don't bother.

That way, Robby's got what he's got, and there is no chance for him to be let down.

I was already talking to Bobbi about all that. If - if - we do that next year again, it will look like that:

Anyone who likes to donate a whip, will have three month of time to finish that whip and to post pictures. Obviously seven month were way to much... I think who is not able to fulfill a promise within three month, won't fulfill it ever. We've seen this already. That means I won't give anything on promises - except the word of those who kept their word this time or jumped in as rescue. When we have the whips - we have the whips. The prizes.

There will be only two ways of donations. Buying tickets or donating money without tickets. That's it. No more tickets bought from one, given to others or anything like that. Don't get me wrong, I was happy for every single dollar. But I spent that much hours on all that, that I had problems with the deadlines on my job. I won't do that again. It is a noble gesture, sure. But if one wants to give a whip to someone sees... Wait if you win and then you can give it to whomever you like :)

Money - next time someone else will take care of the money. Simply it is not good if the same person handles all the money two times in a row. That job has to be a rotationg one to make sure it is absolutely neutral. We can do the drawing the same way we did it this time, no problem. But drawing and taking care of the money will be two different places.

That way everything will be much simpler and more easy organize and to handle. That is at least my idea on how we can successfully (!) go on.

Update:

The money has been sent to the dog shelter, now. And they are very, very happy :) I will receive a donation receipt, scan it and post it here, for everyone to see. IMPORTANT! The donation receipt will be about 978.00 Euro. That's what the forum members donated/bought tickets. The other 500 Euro were donated by Daniel, our webmaster. But he will have his own donation receipt. Just in case someone will ask: "In the video it was 1.477,74 Euro? Were are the other 500 bucks?" I said this already in the video, but I want to make that clear, sure and understood.

As soon as I have the receipt, I will post it right here. Then the whole thing is over and done.

There will be a picture. But not a puppy. The puppies are the ones who are the first to be taken by families. But the older dogs, those no one wants - they need our help. Our money will rescue a dog, which has severe ear problems. It needs a complicated surgery. Without that surgery it would suffer terribly and die over weeks. But that surgery is very expensive. Now that doggie will live. Sure that is not much. But one saved life is worth more than all whips in the world. At least to me. You will see the picture. And understand.
