I'd love to see a couple of side-on shots of those. Brilliant!

Thanks Robby and Robert. These were pairs of 4ft, 5ft and 6ft bullwhips to the one customer. I was a bit annoyed with the 6footers as I'd run out of the "nice" yellow and the next batch I had was slightly different colour. Anyhow that's leather.

Wow, that is one good looking set of whips. Is the color difference really that considerable, or is it just the photos?

The photos do make the colour difference worse, but it is still a bit of difference. Roger, if you like email me and I'll reply to you with a side on picture of the whips. Simon

Very nice set Simon, it never ceases to amaze me the colors they dye leather in.

D'ya know, this is the first time I've seen this post and I've been back in this thread more than a few times!

So sorry Simon for not acknowledging this and an email is on the way!

Wow! What a great work Simon! :)

In the category "masterpieces and Craftsmen" every answer from me could begin with "wow".

This (WB generally) is a big place where VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, ... high quality handicraft art be show. Also www.whipsnhistory.com ;)

Hi Simon,
I found this old photo from the 2005 Royal Easter Show and I thought you may appreciate it.

All the best...

Thanks Terry. That's a long time ago! That was a 48 plait handle and I think the first time I entered the Sydney Show. It has my horse logo plaited in the lower part of the handle. Not sure where that whip ended up.
Thanks again.

Terry, this whip is quite astonishing! (I take it this was made by Simon Martin; Simon, I'm almost speechless!)

Thanks so much for posting this!
