Awesome work Gio! Did you stamp the WB logo with a press, or is that engraved?

Ooooooh, Tyler. Shame on you! In the vid I tell about the engraving and how deep it is into the brass plate. I even scratch it with my fingernail to demonstrate that :)

Och! :) I heard you point out the depth of the letters, and I actually noticed that in the photo during the opening, but I didn't catch you saying it was engraved. So Gio- did you do that by hand, or is that done with a rotary engraver?

Gio, these new whips are even more amazing that your earlier work - at least to me. There are very few people in the world who could plait a thong so finely as that on the 12-footer, with it's English eye and no fall. (I can appreciate the weighting of the thong to compensate.) It looks gorgeous, but I can imagine (I think) what it feels like in the hand - which is even better!

Thanks for your kind replay. The brass on the butt was engraved with machine.

Ciao, Giaovanni,

your whips really are beautiful. The plaiting is amazing.

By the way: Mia nonna e anche Torinese! :)

Sorry, i speak the language but I don´t really know how to spell the words. A big part of my family lives in Italy and most of them in torino. I think it is very cool, that you live in the one city that i have a connection to.

Hi Stefan, thank you so much for kind word.
The Torinesi (the people who live in Torino) do it better :-)
Obviously I'm joking :-)

Hi Guys,
Here we are, yes I know that it is not a whip, but I think it's always an interesting example of braided work.
Bag or Whipbag? It will be your choice
Some data:
No seam is present
Over 140 meters of woven leather.
84 strands of kangaroo leather woven in back braid provide the same vision and tactile sensation in the front and back.
Here some pics.
Kind Regards
Gio

Giovanni - truly remarkable. Especially the lack of seams and symmetry.

This is very cool! I cannot imagine how much patience it takes to build something like that, but the results are just beautiful.

Thank you Antti, you are right!! it was a very long work!!! with a big dose of patience :-).
It's a similar but at the same time it's a different work compared to whipmaking.
