Jeff that's a bummer. Shipping can be such a pain in the ass and espensive. I hope the next time works out for you and Robby

Jeff, that's very discouraging! Better luck next time. Blind the Germans with paperwork!

This is very, VERY wise advice...

To make a long story short: It arrived!!!!!

The paperwork was perfekt! It came right to my door. No problems!
I was planning to do a video - which I will do! - but without voice it would be not very informative. So give me a few days to become fit again and then I will do.
On the whip itself...
I was planning to write something like: "
Jeff. Thank you. I received it. What can I say about it. It's interesting, absolutely."
But since my WB folks know me too good by far, it's pointless to try to make those jokes, to try to pretend anything which is not true. But I love to do such stupid jokes. There will be another chance, some day, I am sure.
The whip is a rough and tough one. Wide strands, a thicker handle (which I
love!) and a very well done taper down the thong. It passed the two tests I always do first, and there was a surprise for me. But to hear about that you have to wait for the video. At least I have a surprise in stock for you

That whip really surprised me in two ways - just wait for the video
Jeff. That whip is a good and solid one. I will talk about the details later on, but you should
really sell them officially. And this is not a joke. I'm dead serious on that. I've seen whips from less quality from so called "professional" whip makers. You are ready to open your own homepage, Jeff.
And...you should do something to bring
viewtopic.php?pid=71724#p71724 this thread to life! It is sad to see such a thread being so empty...

Yay, congrats Jeff!
Glad to see the whip finally make it also.
And yes, a new WB insider review, I'm excited!

Thanks Robby! I can't wait to see the review. I've been wanting to send a whip to you for the longest time, the whip swap finally gave me the opportunity to do so. I'll start filling in my section soon.
Yes, it is a "rough and tough" whip by design. Being only 12 plait it does have wider strands. The handles on bullwhips I try for about 1 inch/25cm. I didn't bevel the strands on purpose so the edges would stand out a little bit giving it that "rough" look.

Thanks very much for this, Robby! (Take care of that throat!) Jeff, that's quite wonderful. I love the thicker handle. The balance looks perfect. A really, really nice whip!
And Ron is right: listen to Robby. I'm sure there are lots of people out there who'd like to buy such a fine whip.

I love that we opened the masters gallery to everyone. Two talented whipmakers already discovered.

Lovely job Jeff! Congratulations! Thank you too, Robby, for taking time for us.
