Yessir it's wax, it was bit cool outside this morning. At 250, it'll still cool quick on the thinner parts.

If you look at it from a distance, the chocolate brown cord actually makes it look like it's made of leather

Beautiful as usual. I like the size of that 14 plait. It looks a tad more shoulder friendly than a 16 plait and easier cracking than a light weight 12 plait.

Roy you hit the nail on the head, it (to the best of my knowledge) appears tip heavy enough still to do well in most weather but as you say not so tough on the shoulder as it would get to be in a round pen.
