How did he train them to do that???  I have to have a grain bucket or its a no go.

There. Indisputable proof that it is the sound of the whip, not its impact, which motivates animals. Detractors of whip use should see this video.

Wow! It always amazes me when people are able to train animals so precisely with such little direction. Thanks for posting.

Yes, I don't know how it was done but it would not be just an afternoon of training!

Could it possibly have been done by repeatedly putting treats in the horse box, and using the whips to signal that they're ready for collection?

Could easily be just that Robert.
Parelli is a type of horse training. I have no experience with it so do not know what methods they use.
