These look very stylish, Jessie - as one would expect from you, of course! - and they should be quite effective for their intended purpose.  Will they come with an instruction manual?  tongue

Re: The "Making of" Gallery - Jessie Edwards

There is the next step.  Exercises.  There is a young gal who will be featured on TLC in January on Family by the Ton, who has been explaining the finer points of sitercize (she is very immobile due to weight), which I want to incorporate into a  work out.

Jessie, these are beautiful!

I'll give it a try, Dad, but it's going to be really hard...kind of like trying to saw something in half using a banana.

Well done Jessie!

Wow, that's inspirational Jessie, especially the attention to detail in the technical design of these short whips. And the colour is pretty groovy too.

Practice does not actually make perfect; Perfect practice makes perfect.

I haven't posted in here for a while.  Just out of the wax bath this morning, the "Little Black Dress" is ready to go to Georgia.  A standard Diamond Style practice whip here.

Re: The "Making of" Gallery - Jessie Edwards

These practice whips are really great in terms of weight distribution smile The only other whip I have that I can just let fall down and get a loud crack with hardly any effort is my 7ft from witchcraft-whips, but that’s a roohide...

Re: The "Making of" Gallery - Jessie Edwards

Beautiful work Jessie!
I realy like the idea of feeding the "last fall hitch strand" into another strand.

Re: The "Making of" Gallery - Jessie Edwards

Thanks Ben.  I think it helps kind of "lock" everything in until after the waxing and the whip has a chance to seat itself with use.  Also, I see it as kind of a seal, so if someone says my whip isn't right, I can look to see if that strand has been cut or damaged.  If it has I automatically know with one look that the knot has been tampered with.

Next is a 4 foot bull whip made in royal purple and sparking gold.  TT core, 1 belly, and a 12 inch handle.  It's very quick and very easy to crack despite the length.  I had fun with it for a while when I first finished it, but had to quit because the grass was wet and I was getting it dirty.  smile
