Matthew, I too like long 'lazy' whips very much indeed. As Roy says, they feel like an extension of one's arm - and, once you get them going, you just wait. Then - BAM!

The target work with such a long whip with the over- and underhand flicks - supercool to watch!
Wolfgang, I'm out of practice at this, and I dare say Roy is much better, but I used to be able (thirty years ago!) to cut leaves off a tree pretty accurately with my 12-foot David Morgan Indy whip.
Another thing for my to-do list: target work with the overhand flick
I have yet only managed to hit chosen leaves with a 6 foot Nylon whip with the standard forward/cattleman‘s crack.
