Re: My whip gallery/build thread

Robert, I prefer more structured designs, myself. There is a pattern to the patchwork, admittedly, but it is just chaotic enough to make me uncomfortable.  I've watched videos of people plaiting and they let the lace get so tangled up underneath the whip as they work that I have a hard time concentrating on what they are doing with the plait. When I plait I can only go a few rows without having to untangle. Seeing that mess of cords makes it hard for me to concentrate on the actual task.

That's allright Mark. Nice bumperstickers. You'll surely make some friend that way big_smile.
Aaah, people need to be able to take a joke and don't be offended. smile

I like the patchwork too. In a way it's actually very handy to try out different color combo's smile

Re: My whip gallery/build thread

My husband has a friend whose name is Kelly Green.  No Lie.  His wife's name is Deb.  Green and brown go well together, it's going to look really sharp.

I hug the people I hate, so I know how big to dig the hole in the backyard.

Re: My whip gallery/build thread

That's going to look great, Sven.  I would imagine that the patchwork of colors make it easy to keep track of which strand you are plaiting, as well.

Rachel, thank you. I'm sorry, but that is funny. I shouldn't make fun of someone, but I had to smile when I read your post.

Scott, thank you. Yes, it actually suprised me, but it's easier to plate than a single or even two colors. It's easier to track what you're doing.

Re: My whip gallery/build thread

I've finished the overlay and moved on to the knotwork. The heel knot has yet to be made, but I finished the foundation.
