The handle is light aluminum that I reinforced with resin. The heel has lead sinker line in the base to weight it a bit and balance out this very nose heavy whip. I had to redo the handle 3 times because of the resin problem, so battle scars in the finish that eventually just would not sand out, but it adds something I think. It doesn't bother me too much. The veneer is dyed mahogany. I think the color is called barn wood. The cabochon is glass, but matched the veneer nice. The paracord was "supposed" to be lipstick red, but it kind of went burgundy after waxing. I was rather upset about that. I ended up cutting off and redoing those knots 10 or 12 times. I pretty much spent all day on the knots. All in all, I am not in love with this whip. yes, I am happy with the look mostly, performance wise, its nice. It passes the Amprage tests, though I am concerned that I am able to do the wave with it so early in the game. I assume it's the weight that allows this to happen. It's very heavy and slow, but really a joy to crack. It just gave me so much grief, I am not friends with it. It's like a kid that you love, but has been a brat all day. You love it just fine, but you don't like it very much at the moment.
Due to rising costs, dirty deeds are no longer done dirt cheap.
