The "Making of" Gallery - Rachel McCollough

This new Gallery replaces the former "Masters Gallery", which will work from now on as pure archive. Here you will find not only the work and art from folks who sell whips, but also from folks, who create their whips out of pure passion. And we have an additional gallery. It is called "The Gallery - Making of".

Ron, thank you! I think they are pretty cool!!!

Thank you, Mr. Robert!!!

Flemming, thank you! That is indeed a great book! Lonnie is better at stitching than me! My dad is a natural!
Mom does all the carving and tooling and dad does the stitching.

I definitely need to learn how to make a decent wallet and one day carving! My mom is making the boys wallets now.

Cuff for Lonnie. I had to try may hand. It still has to be shaped to fit.

The whip, love the taper on this.

The cuff, this is very cool. I had no idea you could work metal.
Very nicely done.

I love that bracelet. When I was a kid, my father had a watch strap that had the same structure, just a few links in a chain instead of a long bracelet. I always thought it was great. I actually once had a handmade copper bracelet made from many small rings.
Some claim that copper has a positive impact on body and soul

Amber style Elite is fantastic. I was surprised at how heavy it is to get up and running, and how easy it is to keep going if you let the whip work for itself.
Today is a good day

Ready to place overlays on the 10’ and 6’ Amper Style Elite.
A short little break in the house and put a belly on a little stock whip.

Rachel, I am astonished at how fast you plait! Astonished - but not really surprised. It's what I would expect from an experienced master like youself! :)

Rachel, I also like the colour a lot - it reminds me of Simon Martins Bullwhip that Robby used to own. It will also look very stylish when the colour will change by aging - your plaiting it top notch - thank you very much for sharing!

Mark, thank you!

Ross, thank you! It is one of my favorites!

Ben, thank you, it should age nicely, and thank you! I always like to see others’ plaiting!

Mr. Robert, thank you! Hagen offered to take a little video for me while I was plaiting and I said yes please! I have a lot to learn, but plaiting finally is more ‘doing’ than ‘thinking.’
