5 ft. stock whip half plait handle

Post by Mark Elliott »

Here's the stock whip that's been giving me so much trouble. As a final gesture of insolence the wax changed the rust paracord to a very dark maroonish brown. Oh well.

Here's what the handle looked like before waxing.

Mark, great job on the handle. I really like the taper and the fancy plaiting. The rust, in my opinion, looks better darker.
This looks very good.
How does it crack?
Good job.

Ron, after all the crap it gave during the build, it actually handles like a dream. It was dark when the wax cooled enough to try it out, but it cracked easily. I have to work the next 2 days but I'll make a video ASAP. Thank you.

Mark, this whip looks great and was worth all the trouble. Can't wait to see it crack. I love waxed rust cord.

Really splendid, Mark - and a magnificent handle! I, too, like the darker rust colour. Roll on the video!

Thanks you, gentlemen. I appreciate the kind words. The color just came out darker than I was expecting. As the wax starts to wear and get that used look about it I think I'll like it a lot.

Mark, that is really beautiful! It looks well balanced! The patternwork is great and I bet the rollout is too. Well done!
