Lovely whip, Rachel. Even though we expect every whip to be fabulous, you still manage to go beyond our expectations.

Mr. Robert, I think that's the thing to strive for, work or example
Wolfgang, I sure can stare at pictures of y'all's whips for a long time!
Flemming, this one would not be as it is a single belly with a larger core (6 strands instead of 4), though a two belly 16 plait cow whip is virtually the same pattern of weight distribution as the stock whip I build, if you include the twisted taper fall. The cow whip, of course, already has the twisted taper on the tip of the thong.
Mark, thank you very much. You set a fine example of work, yourself...
Thanks for the explanation Rachel.
I get surprised every time you explain something too me, how many variations and techniques that are covered under the overlay
Nice Rachel! I love the brown with the wood.
Rachel, my greatest compliments to your work!
The shape of the entire handle, its color and the perfectly made thong all go together extremely well!
All the best
Ben
Ben, Ethan, thank you very much!
Flemming, you are very welcome, always! There is always something new to learn. I am always excited to see how much more of the universe (or details on whips!) We still have not yet even been able to imagine... It is so vast. Always, there is more to learn.
Rachel, I love the grain of the wood in that handle. Beautiful work, as always!
Thank you very much Scott, I really appreciate it!
A whip I have been working on for some time... And it is well past time it gets done
More work to go, and I will wait until it is in its new owner's hands before I share the finished picture, I hope within the next 2 weeks...
Until then you will just have to guess, what kind of whip?
Wonder what it will be?
"Wonder what it will be?" ..... A badass Rachel whip that's what.
Ron
Hey, nice boots!
Ron, thanks!
Scott, thanks, a really nice fellow tipped me off about these awesome boots... So I have two pair... One for "The Truck" and one for home
I love these detailed pics of work in progress. To see the final shape slowly form in front of you - awesome.
Wow, that looks awesome, Rachel.
What kind of wood is it?
Rachel, I too love these 'work in progress' pictures. Thanks very much indeed!
I don't think I've seen a single whip of yours I haven't fallen in love with Rachel, and your handles are amazing.
Sir Roger, Mr. Robert, and Andrew, thank you very much
Nadine, thank you, it is Cumaru
So I have two pair... One for "The Truck" and one for home
Oooh, good idea!
I agree...and a picture of a well-plaited, coiled whip sometimes has something almost ‚hypnotic‘ in it... one could look at it for minutes!
Wolfgang,
That it what I do, I pull it up in a tab and zoom in so that it is almost like it is sitting in front of me! I've actually learned a bit about plaiting just by doing that, as, when someone describes a dropping method, color or plaiting pattern, etc I've seen it, or at least something like it. That way I can imagine and understand what they are describing without them showing pictures.
Looking great Rachel!
