Apart from the obvious Indiana Jones - which movies do you know of that have whips in them?
I'm not aware of the specific movies, but Zorro does have a whip in his arsenal.
Any legendary whip movies? Whips in lesser parts - whip cameos?
Most movies I have seen with whips in them don't hold an iconic status such as Indiana Jones. Some of these choices are open to debate but off the top of my head and in more recent times:
Alan Quartermain with Richard Chamberlain (Snakewhip)
Ghostrider uses his chain like a whip
Catwoman from Batman Returns
Whiplash from Iron Man 2
Russel, named pretty much all the ones I know.

One of my all time movies. Love the riding down the mountain while cracking a whip.
And the one he bests the military guy buy doing better and more with a whip instead of a sword.

300, django, underworld: rise of the lycans(some kind of whip),immortals(in one scene,shitty movie) in these whips are seen only in few scenes
How could anyone forget "Zorro, the Gay Blade"? There is also Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. They used Paul Nolan whips with a bit of combined CGI.
Don't think I've heard of that Zorro mate. I didn't even notice one in POP. Mind you I only saw the movie once

Zorro the Gay Blade - Zorro has broken his foot fighting against the evil Spanish overlords (no offense at Spaniards). Unable to continue his twin brother "Bunny Wigglesworth", a product of the British Navy (No offense at the British Navy intended) fills in for him. Not liking the black clothing he makes a few colorful, flamboyant changes to the costume. Not liking the sword either he uses a bullwhip instead. Hilarity ensues.

I remember once seeing a sci-fi film called Expect No Mercy, where one of the baddies (Anthony de Longis) uses a whip. (More fantasy about whips being 'weapons'.) I've just looked on YouTube and found a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66P0iR6SyFI. I have to say I thought it was a pretty bad film!
Then there's also Johnny Mnemonic.
Which features a baddy with a laser whip.
There's also a scene where he cuts right through a person. Hahaha.

There is also some whip-wielding in the latest X-men movie, BUT does anyone know „The Shadow Whip“ ? Old Shaw-Brothers Wire-Fu movie or in this case Wire-Whip. Almost the entire movie is filled with endless fight scenes, where the female hero, played by Cheng Pei Pei, takes out hundreds of bad guys with completely unrealistic whip-wielding. Very fun movie (in a weird way).

Wolfgang, I have (astonishingly enough) actually seen this film, but had forgotten all about it. Wholly unrealistic, of course - but great fun!
What about the whips in Rundown?
Again, wholly fanciful - but I enjoyed this film! (These are supposedly 6-foot whips, but I think they look longer than that in the clip.)
